In sewing class this week, our 7th and 8th grade students are finishing up their second sewing project! They were presented with several sewing options at the beginning of the term, two hand-sewing projects and one machine-sewing project, and were able to choose sewing projects they wanted to complete. For each project they have the option to use felt or fabric and buttons, thread, needles, and seam rippers. These projects include little monsters or superheros, small ornaments, pillows, mini blankets, pillow cases, and scrunchies. Many of the students were not too sure if they were going to enjoy sewing class, but if you were to ask them now, they love it!
