Winter time can be challenging to stay active with the weather turning cold and the days growing shorter, but WMS PE students have found ways to move our bodies!  Throughout November we have been learning different Net Games like Badminton and Speedminton, and seeing how some of the strategies for offense and defense are similar. This month we have been participating in a number of Fielding/Striking games like Womba Ball or Cardio Baseball to reduce or create open space.

Part of what I love about my job is seeing the connections from Kindergarten to 8th grade. We are able to learn a lot of the same categories of games, but at different levels! Pictured are 6th grade, 8th grade, and kindergartners playing some Net Games! We also have some 8th graders (with special guest Mr. McDonald) playing Cardio Kickball and some kindergartners working on striking off a tee!
