These eighth grade math students are working on Math Stations. Every quarter the students are given twelve problems that were developed with the rigor of the States Common Core Standards. The problems help support current work they are doing in their math class. The students then work on them using the Eight Mathematical Practices. Students first work independently, then they compare their answers with a peers. If their answer to the station matches, they check the key for accuracy. If they are right they turn the station in and if not, they start again to try solve the problem. Throughout the school year the students gain skills to help them approach and solve difficult problems.
