Room 410's Science Project

Wednesdays in Room 410 are our time for group science projects. For our last science experiment, we did a water stratification experiment. Water stratification is when water masses with different properties (density or temperature, for example) form layers that act as barriers to water mixing. Each of the students first made a hypothesis, then they conducted the experiment by setting up skittles around a plate, pouring in warm water and waiting to see the reaction. The students loved the experiment and we even tried different variations by using milk and adding dish soap as well.
