Welcome to Mr. Wagner's Classroom
Hello!
I am Ryan Wagner, a 6th grade science teacher at Westwood. I started my teaching career here at WMS in 2017 and love it here! I taught 8th grade math and science my first 4 years and also taught 6th grade math for a year before moving to just 6th grade science. I coach 7th grade football, boys basketball, and baseball.
I graduated from Medical Lake High School in 2011 (yes, I work for Cheney now haha) and completed a teaching degree in biology from Eastern Washington University in 2017. I have lived in the West Plains my entire life and don't ever plan on leaving.
In 2021, I married my best friend, Emily Wagner. Emily was a PE teacher at Windsor (Mrs. Pond) and also taught PE at Westwood for a few years (some of you might have had her in class!). In September 2022, we had our daughter, Paige. She is a beautiful, smart, and comically funny little thing that we love watching grow up every day.
I am so excited to have you in class. We are going to be doing a ton of fun things in science like an egg drop challenge, elephant toothpaste, lightning bugs, egg cars, and so much more.
