Athletics & Activities
At Westwood, our students thrive when they actively participate in sports, clubs, or other activities. We strongly encourage all Wolverines to engage in these opportunities to discover their best selves and reach their full potential.
The following requirements must be completed before your student may participate in a club or sport.

- Pay ASB fee ($30.00), online link labeled Make a Payment. If a family is in need for this fee to be reduced or waived, fill out this form.
- Current physical form signed by a Physician (good for two years) - needed for sports.
Sports and activity schedules are posted below. Remember that sports schedules are subject to change, so please check our website frequently during the sports season for updates.
Our afterschool sports run Mon. - Fri. from 2:30 - 5:15 p.m. and transportation is provided on a reduced route. Please call transportation at 509-559-4523 to verify specific drop off locations for activity buses.
ASB Activities and Athletics Grade Eligibility Policy (WIAA)
Following are the WIAA rules regarding academic eligibility:
Grades: If a student has one (1) F at the beginning of the season based on the previous grade check and/or during the season based on a grade check, the student will not participate in games. the student can fix this by raising this grade and giving their coach a signed and dated note from the teacher stating that this F grade has been raised to passing.
Participation: With one (1) F, a student may practice, however, they may not participate in games or travel.
Grades: If a student has two (2) or more F's at the beginning of the season based on the previous grade check and/or during the season based on a grade check, the student will serve a three-week probation following the grade check. This usually ends a sports season for a middle school student.
Participation: With two (2) or more F's, a student may not practice, participate in games, or travel.
There are 8 grade checks throughout the school year (4 midterms and 4 quarters).

REFEREE RESPECT
For those attending events (both at home and away), please remember to treat officials with respect at all times. These individuals officiate as a hobby or a second job - and do it for their love of the game and for providing student athletes the ability to play the sports they love. Without officials, there are no games!
