Mr. Dyrland's 6th Grade math Class

In Mr. Dyrland’s 6th-grade math class, students are working on the learning goal “I can fluently divide multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.” To get more practice with this skill, students play the Lottery Game.

How the Lottery Game works is students complete a worksheet of practice problems. For every correct answer, students claim a numbered square by writing their initials on it. At the end of the game, the teacher randomly selects squares (using a random number generator), and if your initials are in that square, you win a prize!
