Westwood Art Students

Westwood art students recently started their Painting class by studying the Abstract Expressionist art movement.  After investigating the work of artists like Jackson Pollack and Wassily Kandinsky, students designed non-representational works to reflect their emotions, feelings, or thoughts.  Symbolic colors, dynamic lines, and bold shapes characterize these paintings.  Now on display around the school, the art offers powerful insight into the social and emotional state of middle school students.
