In Mrs. Adkins science class we recently wrapped up our unit on cell structure. Students demonstrated their understanding of how all of the cell organelles work together to make the cell function as a whole system by developing a poster model using a city as an analogy for the cell. Each cell organelle had a corresponding function in the Cell City. The cities had to have all the parts necessary to run smoothly and function successfully, just like a cell.
