In Mr Passinetti’s Social Emotional Learning class, students learned the importance of positive self talk. In this lesson, students discussed words and phrases that they said or thought that were negative and wrote them on a piece of construction paper. They discussed the severity of these words and the impact these words made on their confidence and self value. At the end of the lesson, students got to rip up the sheets, destroying the negativity and were able to throw that negativity away!
