An integral part of student success is having the ability to transition into the high school setting. This year, I met with Cheney High School to discuss "Blackhawk for a day." This program would allow each eighth grade student from WMS to attend Cheney High School. Every week, Westwood Middle School would send ten eighth grade students to high school. There they would meet with the student leadership at CHS and spend the day as a high school student. I'm looking forward to hearing from the high school on a start date for the 2018-19 school year!
