WESTWOOD FBLA MAKES A TRIUMPHANT RETURN

The FBLA students at Westwood have been busy this school year.  The students made a splash at the Winter Conference by bringing home nine trophies, including five first place finishes.  All five students will be headed to compete in at least ten events at the State Business Leadership Conference in Bellevue April 10-13.  A big focus has also been on impacting the community.  The students volunteered at the International Beauty Education Center in Airway Heights on February 10th.  The IBEC was hosting a "Princess for a Day" event where girls received free makeovers.  Our students saw over 300 girls come through the line, while ushering, painting nails, and applying makeup.  The students are also busy organizing a movie night at Westwood that will combat homelessness in our community.  Admission for the movie and concessions will be items needed by the Salvation Army to serve the homeless population in Spokane.  Check the Westwood website's calendar for more details.
